On the 3rd of October 2025, ACTF, led by the Program Manager, Mr. Bassey, paid an educative visit to the Junior Secondary School, Dagiri, Gwagwalada, as part of activities to commemorate World Environment Day. The visit was aimed at raising awareness among students and staff on the importance of environmental sustainability and its connection to education.
During the event, the team engaged the students and school staff in an interactive session focused on the theme “Environment and Its Impact on Learning.” The presentation was delivered by Mr. Emmanuel Ameh, who highlighted how a clean, safe, and healthy environment contributes to improved concentration, academic performance, and overall student well-being. He also encouraged students to adopt environmentally responsible habits and become advocates for positive change within their communities.
Following the presentation, the ACTF team paid a courtesy visit to the Principal in his office, where they discussed the importance of environmental education and explored opportunities for continued engagement with the school. The visit concluded with a group photograph session involving the Principal, staff members, and the ACTF team, capturing the memorable occasion.
The visit strengthened environmental awareness among students and educators while reinforcing the role of schools as key platforms for promoting sustainable practices. Through initiatives such as this, ACTF seeks to inspire young people to become environmentally conscious citizens and future leaders who understand the relationship between a healthy environment and quality education.
ACTF remains committed to fostering learning environments that support both educational excellence and environmental responsibility, contributing to the development of informed, resilient, and sustainability-minded communities.
